LOCAL home care company, Home Instead Epping Forest, is celebrating the achievements of some of their team, having completed a 15 mile hike for charity.

Owner of Home Instead Epping Forest, Victoria Rigby, was joined by colleagues and family members on June 17th, to take on the challenge which started at Manor Park at 9am and ended at Stonnards Park with drinks, ice cream and celebrations!

The triumphant team raised £601.90 plus £122.50 in gift aid, with all monies raised going to Home Instead Charities UK to help fund projects in Epping Forest.

Victoria commented: “Home Instead Charities does amazing work for ageing adults in the UK, from peer support groups to music therapy groups. Hiking 15 miles was a challenge but knowing we were raising money for such a worthy cause kept us going, we even managed to dodge the heavy rain that was forecast and stay dry all day!”

She continued: “A lot of the team came along, as well as family members (including our dog!) and it was a great day to come together and have fun for something so worthwhile”.
