Harlow Food and Drink Festival set to return in September

THE Harlow Food and Drink Festival is expected to return for a second year in September. The event is set to be held on September 16 at Redchurch Brewery at Mead Park, between 12-5pm.

The fete is co-hosted by the brewery and Stort Valley Spirts and will see a collection of artisan food and drink from local producers. Smok’n Greek BBQ, Precious Pasta, and Cupcake Daisy are among the local producers who will have a stall on the day.

The free festival is organised by disability care service charity Accuro, which arranged its inaugural gala last year. Although the festival is free, there will be a suggested charitable donation of £2 per person to Accuro, which they said would all go towards the charity.

Emma Robson, Co-owner of Stort Valley Spirits, said, “Last year, the inaugural Harlow Food & Drink Festival attracted over 1,000 visitors and we are delighted to be working with Redchurch and Accuro on what we hope will become an annual event.

“We have an incredible array of local food and drink producers in the Herts & Essex area, from pasta to pies, cheeses to chutneys, and having a local event where small artisans can showcase their offerings whilst at the same time raising money for a great cause, is invaluable.”
