PASSMORES and Stewards are celebrating the hard work, perseverance and resilience of their school communities today.
The three heads of the two schools have issued the following statements:
“In the past our press releases regarding exam results would normally be full of individual names and grades showing how well a small number of students have performed.
“However, to simply ignore the fact that Covid meant that this year group lost two important years of learning at Key Stage 3 would be wrong.
“We recognise that the last few years have impacted each of our young people differently and despite all of this we are delighted that the exam performance across our schools and it was a joy to see student after student celebrating that they got what they needed.
It is now clearer than ever that working in partnership with our parents/carers is the best way to help the students and we are grateful to everyone that worked with us in the best interests of their children.
Family comes in many forms and, whilst we are sad to be saying goodbye to the young people, we know that they will come and visit to share their future successes.
“The exam results received are an important part of who our children are but not the whole picture. We know that by working together our young people will go on to be successful plumbers, motor mechanics, nurses, lawyers, teachers or anything else they choose and also be kind, empathetic and caring human beings.
“Congratulations to the young people of Passmores Academy, Stewards Academy and Harlow generally for everything they’ve achieved”.
Well done everybody.. Onwards and Upwards 🚀
