NORTH Weald and District Miniature Railway held there 2nd annual Railway and Model Festival. Over one thousand people attended this now growing in popular event. Those in attendance with a display included British Transport Police, amongst others.

The Miniature Railway is run as a not for profit business but more as a hobby for Nathan Boden who is aged just 21 and has a very wise head on his young shoulders. It is run and operated entirely by volunteers. It has  regularly  normal running  days with rides costing just £2 on the over 800m track. Also this year they have added a new ticket office with a small shop and a new woodland picnic area for visitors.

They are always looking for new people to help and volunteer with the day to day maintenance and running of the railway.

Based in Harlow Garden Centre this is fast becoming one of the top small tourist attractions in the Harlow area.
