THE Harvey Centre is pleased to announce that they have raised an amazing £2885 for charity through fund raising activity at their One Great Day event which took place on Saturday 16^th September. 

The Centre joined forces with One Great Day to raise funds for Great Ormond Street Hospital and Haven House Children’s Hospice, who provide care and support to families and children with life limiting or life threating conditions.

Visitors on the day had the chance to have their face painted, take home a print from a themed photobooth or marvel at a Balloon modeller who was creating fabulous balloons for children to take home and keep. Pheonix Resource Centre hosted an arts and craft workshop for children. All activities were offered in exchange for a donation to the charities.

The Harvey Centre also hosted a tombola with some fabulous prizes up for grabs, including a Family Ticket to Paradise Wildlife Park, Pantomime tickets, Children’s bikes, gift vouchers and hampers, all kindly donated by The Harvey Centre retailers and local business supporters. 

In addition to public donations, The Harvey Centre also received generous donations from a number of their retailers and partners, who were keen to help support such a worthwhile cause. The Spurs store raised money by raffling a signed football in the lead up to the event and The Nail Bar staff generously donated their tips to the cause. A number of stores had donation buckets to help collect money.  

The Harvey Centre will continue to collect donations through their Charity wishing well located on the ground floor.

All proceeds from the day will be split equally between Great Ormond Street Hospital and Haven House Children’s Hospice as part of One Great Day. One Great Day is a registered charity, initiated in 2014 by parents whose son received care at Great Ormond Street Hospital.

All money raised will help to fund the vital work that these 2 amazing charities do for Children and families in need of care and support.
