THIS week, Stewards Academy’s Design and Technology Department was awarded the prestigious Princes Teaching Institute (PTI) Chartermark for Design & Technology; one of only a handful of DT Departments across the country to achieve it. 

The PTI offers a range of professional development for school leaders. The School Leadership Programme is built from a national network of school leaders seeking to make the greatest impact within their schools, with members of the programme developing school leadership approaches and practical solutions aimed at supporting effective teaching and learning. 

The Chartermark was completed through an action-based, practical research project, designed so teachers can take inspiration from other teachers facing similar challenges. The PTI is committed to making high quality, rigorous and enjoyable education available to every child, regardless of their background or ability just as we are at Stewards Academy.
