ANOTHER busy Friday, saw both Basketball Qualifying events (mid-morning and afternoon sessions) welcome 15 teams each to compete in small groups for a place in next week’s Basketball Finals.

The standard of play was good and the teams that joined for the events enjoyed themselves immensely and definitely improved throughout the sessions; the levels of sportsmanship on display ensured that matches didn’t disintegrate into those resembling rugby games and some great baskets were scored. It was pleasing to see a few different schools venture across to Mark Hall Academy Sports Centre.
