SOME of the Year 6 children from Pear Tree Mead Academy travelled to St Clare Hospice to treat the volunteers to some Christmas singing as part of their Christmas Dinner.  

There were around 50 volunteers enjoying a Christmas meal and their Year 6 children added some extra festive cheer, singing a range of classic carols and more up beat hits. 

The children handed out cards as part of the event to thank the volunteers for all that they do.

Headteacher, Mrs Peden said “I was very proud of the children as they sung and behaved beautifully. 

“The school is looking forward to supporting the Hospice as part of their charity fund raising next year”.
