BRAVE Harlow boy Quinn has just reached a remarkable milestone as he has just rung the bell to mark completion of his chemotherapy treatment.
Many readers have followed the story of Quinn’s battle against a rare form of kidney cancer.
His condition was only diagnosed in 2022 after the family returned from holiday in Greece.
But a significant event has just happened. He has rung the bell at the hospital.
Ringing Out
Ring this bell
Three times well
Its toll to clearly say,
My treatment’s done
This course is run
And I am on my way!
— Irve Le Moyne
Quinn’s dad, Mike has put the following message on his Facebook page.
Mike said: “It’s been such a long hard painful journey but my boy the MIGHTY QUINN FINALLY RINGS THE BELL!
It was an emotional day for us yesterday seeing him ring the bell in the place where the nightmare began.
Our son is a true warrior. What we have seen him go through the last year and four months is unbelievable.
Our other two children Macie and Jordan have been absolutely brilliant, understanding and supportive. They have missed out on so much but they continued the fight with their little brother and never complained.

My wife Samantha, who is the absolutely rock of the family, dealt with so so much, I can’t tell you in words what she has been through but the strength she has shown is second to none and not just Quinn but I myself couldn’t of got through days without her.
“We would like thank every single person who have supported us over the last 17 months. Family and friends that have been there for us when we needed them and everyone that has been involved in fundraising for Quinn’s cause.
The support has been overwhelming and heartfelt. you will always have a special place in our hearts and we will never forget those that helped in the #fight4quinn

Just to name a few, apologies if I have missed any but there are so many! ![]()

“Although the worst is over, Quinn will continue the road to recovery with surveillance scans every three months for the next three years.

Quinn has also developed iron deposits on his liver due to the chemotherapy and the amount of blood transfusions he has had. We hope that this isn’t too serious and that it will correct itself. This is why he went for a scan yesterday to see the next cause of action. We just hope that he doesn’t have to go through more treatment and hospital visits.
“We will continue to keep you all updated on Quinn’s recovery and again would love to thank you all so so much for your continued support. Roll on better times for all”.
