Sir Keir Starmer praises work of Harlow Labour candidate Chris Vince

General Election 2024 / Tue 12th Mar 2024 at 04:21pm

LABOUR leader, Sir Keir Starmer had a very busy day at Purford Green Primary School on Monday.

But our final question to the man who may be prime minister by the end of the year was: “Do you believe that Harlow’s candidate, Chris Vince, is a man who, if elected, will bat for his constituency?”

Sir Keir said: “I do. He is already bending my ear on what he wants for his constituents.

“That is exactly what you want from a candidate who says: I live here, I’m rooted in my community, I’m going to fight for this constituency and be their powerful advocate.

He says he has to prepare the ground and then follow through when he is elected as MP.

“In that example, you have everything that is brilliant about that candidate.

What has he done? no budget proposal, no plans expressed it seems he is running on the platform of I am not a tory. Which is tempting but honestly as much as I hate the cons - Robert does work hard for harlow.

I would recommend as many people as possible watch Chris Vince's performance at this month's Harlow Council Cabinet meeting. This will then save those people looking up in the dictionary the word Dire.

Starmer knows nothing about Mr Vince or Harlow council, apart from what Mr Vince has told him.

That's cos Mr.Vince is a Chelmsford boy only in Harlow for his Political Career! As opposed to Mr.Halfon who is a Chelsea boy only in New Hall for his Political Career!
