Mental Health Week: Maybury Open Door host Men’s Brunch Club

Communities / Tue 14th May 2024 at 08:15am

HARLOW’S Maybury Open Door is currently running a monthly Men’s Brunch Club (on the second Monday of the month).

The group provides a safe, non-judgmental and friendly environment, tackles social exclusion, and seeks to reduce loneliness.

Each month there are different activities, and this morning, at the start of Mental Health Awareness Week, Ian Beckett, Kintsugi Hope group leader, delivered a workshop on “Coping with Anxiety”.

Ian said “The session was well received and the guys spoke openly about their own experiences, showing a genuine interest in learning from, and supporting each other. That’s one of the key aims of Kintsugi Hope”.
