STEWARDS Academy pupils were privileged to attend the Delfont Mackintosh Les Miserable education performance on Tuesday 14th May.

Thirty students accompanied by three staff travelled to London to watch the show and technical demonstration.

The students behaviour was impeccable as they joined hundreds of others in the theatre. Allocated seats in the front stalls they enjoyed a prime position for this incredible production.

Pupils on the trip said: “Today was brilliant…the acting and singing were amazing…I loved it…I would definitely recommend seeing this show.”

Another pupil said: “This is the best West End show I have watched, and to be able to sit at the very front, with the actors looking at you and practically interacting with you, was a once in a lifetime experience, and I am so grateful to be given the opportunity to not just watch this incredible show, but to have the workshop at the end too. Listening to the different departments that put in so much time and effort into that show every day, and to be able to hear from some of the main actors in the play was phenomenal.”

Di da Vighi, Head of Performing Arts said: “This was an absolutely fabulous opportunity for our students and made possible by one of our grandparents, who is a member of the production team, putting our name forward to attend. We are very appreciative to have been nominated. As always, our pupils conducted themselves superbly and were a credit to the Academy.”
