ON SATURDAY, Harlow Ladies (and Harlow Rugby Club) are hosting their very first womens and girls 10’s rugby tournament, Tilly’s 10’s.
They will have some exhibition matches played by their mixed ability teams (9.30am), followed by the girls (11am), and then the ladies matches (12.30pm).

A spokesperson said: “As well as being a great day to help raise the profile of womens and girls rugby locally, the event will also raise money for SANDS (Stillbirth and Neonatal Death Charity) – a charity that has helped a number of our team and supporters that is very close to our hearts.
The event is named after Matilda Pridmore (the daughter of one of our ladies players, Emily, and her wife Amy) who sadly passed away shortly after being born on 13th August 2021. They in addition to support from Norwich & Norfolk University hospital, they also had incredible amounts of support from SANDS in the time following.
“We’ll have prizes up for grabs for our tournament winners and we’ll be fundraising with a raffle and silent auction – the prizes are awesome and include an England rugby ball signed by England Rugby Coach Steve Borthwick! Plus, on top of all that, we’ve got fantastic food and family entertainment, live music, and a huge party once the rugby stops!”.
