Rugby: Harlow hope to have more luck on their travels

Rugby / Fri 25th Oct 2024 at 03:07pm

HARLOW travel to Rochford Hundred on Saturday off the back of last weeks home win over Stowmarket.

It’s been a tough start to the season away from Latton Park with Harlow losing to Eton Manor, Wanstead and Westcliff respectively, however 1st Team coach Ian Rundall believes they aren’t far away from turning around their fortunes on the road.

Ian said: “The standard of this league has increased dramatically compared to last season and we have come up against much improved sides on the road so far.

If you discount our poor permance at Wanstead, we’ve been in two competitive matches against two fancied sides in this league and small margins have been the difference between winning and losing.

We certainly believe as a squad that turning these losses into wins is something that is in our control and we need to replicate our excellent home form on the road”

Looking forward to this weekend

“Only three years ago there were four divisions between us and Rochford and now we find ourselves as equals. They have recruited heavily over the past couple of weeks and will provide another extremely stiff test for us on the road, but a challenge we are looking forward to.”

Liam Batty will again captain the side with skipper Brad Etherington out (concussion protocol).
