TANY’S Dell Resource Base for Deaf children won silver at the London Aquatic Centre Swimming Gala.

Deaf children across London and Essex competed in a variety of water competitions and races. The event was organised by Panathlon, a national charity who gives young people with disabilities and special educational needs every year the opportunity to take part in competitive sport.

The Deaf children in Key Stage 2 were so excited to receive their silver medals and a trophy. Tany’s Dell has attended the event for years and it this was the first trophy they have won.

The children were very pleased to come back to school and share the news with their classes.

Natalie Hall, Learning Support Assistant for Deaf children, said “The day was amazing! It was a fantastic opportunity for the Deaf children to represent their school in such a fun and active way”.
