Man charged over knife-point robberies at shops across Harlow

OFFICERS investigating two robberies in Harlow have arrested and charged a man.
The first took place at a shop in Fishers Hatch at around 1pm on 15 January while the second happened at a business in the High Street at around 2.05pm on 1the same day.
John-Paul Roberts, 50, of no fixed address, was arrested on 27 January and has been charged with robbery, attempted robbery, and two counts of possessing a knife in a public place.
He appeared at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court on 28 January and is next due to appear at Chelmsford Crown Court on 25 February.
