More schools to be asked to supervise toothbrushing

SCHOOL and nursery staff in the most deprived areas of England will be asked to supervise young children while they brush their teeth, under a national toothbrushing programme reports the BBC.

Schemes are already running in some schools – but now dedicated central funding will reach the poorest areas where children are most at risk of tooth decay, the government says.

are parents not parenting anymore? this is very sad. Schools are stretched enough as it is, this is the parents' responsibility, along with toilet training and teaching basic right from wrong. Wouldn't it be better to educate parents who are struggling?
I could not agree more. Supervising toothbrushing is a parent's responsibility. Parents need to take responsibility for their children and their welfare.
Good grief, this is not a teachers job
If you need to educate parents on such a simple tasks it means that they shouldn't have kids
