Investigation following fire in derelict building in Harlow
Crime / Sat 12th Apr 2025 at 02:19pm
ESSEX Firefighters were called to a fire in a derelict building in Park Court. Harlow at 4pm on Friday afternoon.
On arrival, crews reported a derelict building was on fire.

Crews used an Aerial Ladder Platform to extinguish the fire from above while firefighters worked to tackle the fire from the ground.
Firefighters extinguished the fire by 6:48pm and believe it was started deliberately.
Paradise Lodge. Land wanted by developers but seller not selling. Suddenly a fire (just like Northbrooks House and The Maypole). Just a coincidence perhaps or ..........?
It is the same as any other building that developers are interested in.
Which town did the Aerial Ladder Platform come from this time? Chelmsford or Greys? Or did the Essex Fire Service use one from Hertfordshire?
This is now the 6/7th time this place has been set on fire (hard not to notice when living opposite the place and calling the fire brigade on multiple occasions to inform them the place was burning again). Not only was there a fire on Friday afternoon but also approx 4am Saturday morning, resulting in the road being closed off yet again within 12 hours of the previous fire. The entire situation with these buildings needs to be looked into as is not normal.
It's the council setting fire to the building! They want to destroy it to build on it! I've seen guys in white vans going in there at different times and bang fires....
