Church Langley man pleads guilty to breaching sexual harm prevention order

A CHURCH Langley man has pleaded guilty to breaching a number of sexual harm prevention orders.

Matthew Collings, aged 23, of Doulton Close, Church Langley, Harlow pled to the following at Chelmsford Magistrates court.

Between January 7th 2025 and March 26th, 2025 in Harlow, without reasonable excuse, did something, namely, you used a function of a piece of software, namely disappearing messages on WhatsApp, which prevented an internet enabled device you were using from retaining its history of internet use, which you were prohibited from doing by a sexual harm prevention order made under section 103A of the Sexual Offences Act 2003 by Chelmsford Crown Court on 14th February 2022.

Between January 7th, 2025 and March 9th, 2025 in Harlow without reasonable excuse,  did something, namely, you use a social media chat facility, namely WhatsApp, and failed to retain the history and content of communications for inspection by police, which you were prohibited from doing by  a sexual harm prevention order made under section 103A of the Sexual Offences Act 2003 by Chelmsford Crown Court on 14th February 2022.

Collings next court appearance is scheduled for August 12th, 2025 at Chelmsford Crown Court.
