Harlow MP Chris Vince campaigns on the doorstep to promote budget

Chris Vince / Tue 9th Dec 2025 at 11:25am

IT has been a few weeks since we last interviewed Harlow MP Chris Vince. In many ways that is an illustration of how busy he is.

So we took the opportunity to meet in the town park and discuss a number of issues.

This is a fifteen minute interview where we discussed:

  1. The Budget
  2. Traffic in Harlow
  3. Violence Against Women and Girls
  4. Flags
  5. Support for Local Business

Film is below.

Promote the Budget, easy for him on 90k and no doubt claiming for his energy bills on expenses plus all the other perks, suggest he looks at some opinion polls to see what the population think of Labour

Bet he won't knock on many before he realises the people are extremely fed up (and yes i did bite my tongue) No government have any thoughts or considerations for the everyday people. And to say him very precious time I can tell him what most people are thinking We are all bloody struggling and you keep thinking of ways to screw our hard earned money off us. I really hope you knock on my door

I would loved to have seen some actual "campaigning on the door step". I'd imagine it would confirm what most feel about about his poor term as our mp and his Lickspittle approach to Starmer

Best of luck Chris with selling the budget,I reckon selling sand to the Arabs would be easier.

Where is Chris Vince campaigning on the doorstep as per the headline.? At least Robert Halfon had the conviction to be out and about in public. You could often find him outside Lidl's or Tesco's. Never seen Chris out and about anywhere (Except Remembrance Sunday)

I doubt he has the courage to face the doorstep, you never see him in the town. Oddly you saw Robert everywhere. Is he going to run the employment fair like robert did. You can like Robert or not, like his politics or not but he did come across as someone who would fight for Harlow. Chris comes across the total opposite, just as a yes man

The only doors he’ll be knocking on, are those belonging to paid up members of the Labour Party. No doubt he’ll be sucking up to his Leader, when he comes for his visit, letting him know of all the good work he’s doing on behalf of his constituents.

Yes. Let's talk about the non-issue of flags while Christian's Vince and this disgraceful government destroy our ancient rights established by Magna Carta to trial by jury. This government with such measures and digital ID cards is the most authoritarian ever.

Harlow on the move!! Are you joking . Go out at 7 to 9 am and 5 to 7 pm and see how Harlow is moving . Gridlock. Also I hope Kier Starmer said you could go out. C Vince , You are a total wimp as a MP , if KS farted you would back it. Enjoy your 15mins of fame, because you will soon be gone.Your the worst MP Harlow has ever had .

They all say the same . Chris vince will never go up against his own party. Waffle Waffle and more Waffle. I'd like to hear more about how knocking on doors went for you Mr vince. Grid lock Harlow, wait till they build the thousands around our borders. Harlow council it's never ever a good idea to overload a small town. Then you can sit back and watch us flood, but never mind a, money talks.

A tougher interview by Michael Casey which put Chris Vince under pressure. I noticed Vince put some real effort in at Parliament on Monday and has decided to get out of the bunker. But if people listened carefully they would have heard he has been spending a lot of time at PAH and I guess is related to his family, which may explain his low profile recently. Chris rarely talks about his family for privacy reasons which is a shame in one sense, because people might be a bit more sympathetic if they knew his difficulties.

I have emailed Chris 3 times (one a repeat as I hadn't had a response to the first email) without a response. Both were suggestions for improvement, non political. May I suggest that rather than campaigning on the door step, tine would be better spent responding to ideas. Adam's comment also asks a valid question, why has Chris not continued with the employment fair or we leaving that to Stansted. However, I don't knock him for being a team player.

Chris Vince is a total waste of space. The worst and most spineless MP ever to represent Harlow.

David Foreman. Sorry mate, I don't buy the PAH issue, there are millions of people including myself that still have to go to work under those strains. Dont get me wrong , I hope all will be well for CV, but he needs to do the job he has been voted in to do , or resign.

Ted, I understand your point of view but I have noticed an increase in output by Chris Vince recently. Hopefully, his issues are resolved. Let's see if he performs better in the coming weeks.
