Essex Police put dispersal order in for RAF Wethersfield

ESSEX Police have put in place a dispersal order in response to planned protest activity near to RAF Wethersfield tomorrow morning, Saturday 13 December.
The order will be in place from 6am until 10pm and covers Sculpins Lane and adjoining access roads leading to RAF Wethersfield as well as Wethersfield Road up to Gate 7 and adjacent public areas.

The areas are shown below on the map.
This order is not in place to prevent any lawful protest activity, but to simply prevent disorder and anti-social behaviour at the location whilst allowing peaceful and lawful protest to take place.
The order gives officers the power to order people to leave a specified area. If a person does not leave having been asked to, they could be arrested.
We’d also like to stress that, unless with express permission of the owner, no assembly can take place on private land. Equally, no assembly is permitted to block the public highway.
We are being silenced… no free speech
How is it that police can create dispersal orders for those protesting about illegality, but can never apply dispersal orders for the weekly illegal palestinian marches in London?
It is a shame the two previous clueless commentators failed to read the article. It says: "This order is not in place to prevent any lawful protest activity."
For the benefit of the first two commentators the dispersal order was on from 6am to 10pm. However, my wife and I drove right up to the gates of Wethersfield yesterday at 4pm without any difficulty. Not a sign of police or protesters. Not even a discarded placard or empty beer cans. The only difference from when I have visited Wethersfield before is that the gates were shut.
