Harlow Town Football Club: Q and A session held at crisis club: “This club will not go to the wall…the football club is safe”.

Business / Sun 18th Jan 2026 at 12:34pm

A QUESTION and answer session for fans was held in the marquee at Harlow Town Football Club before the game on Saturday afternoon.

The session was hosted by Gary Saunders, who was the named trustee for the Platinum Sports Management Limited Pension Scheme in the court hearings which (Friday Jan 9th) saw Harlow Town Football Club placed in administration.

Mr Saunders gave an overview of how a loan given in 2013 has ended up with the club in administration in 2026.

Mr Saunders was keen to stress that “This club will not go to the wall…the football club is safe”.

He also reassured fans by telling them that “it was a large debt to service but “we are not going to call it in”.

The club is up for sale. Mr Saunders stated that they are keen to run the club “collaboratively” but the ultimate decision would be with the administrators.

Fans asked a number of questions on a wide variety of subjects relating to the club from the wedding and evening bookings, the future of youth teams, the current status of persons such as Tommy Cunningham and Tim Sewell and of course the future of the football team.

Harlow MP Chris Vince was also present at the meeting.

After the session, the departures were announced of two club officials: John Shelton and Logan Young.

They joined management Danny Chapman and Thomas Church alongside club secretary Donna Harvey.

Really encouraging to hear such a clear commitment that the club “will not go to the wall” and that the debt won’t be called in – that kind of reassurance is huge for fans and everyone who loves Harlow Town. https://getflex.us/shop/soccer-training-mat/soccer-training-mat-agility-ball-control-passing-drills/
