Harlow Open International Karate Championships attracts hundreds of competitors from around the world

OVER 500 competitors took part in the Harlow Open International Karate Championships at the Harlow Leisurezone at the weekend.

A spokesperson said: “We were honoured to welcome 70 clubs, with 1,058 entries and 574 competitors, representing England, Romania, Scotland, Nepal, India, the Netherlands, Denmark, Pakistan, Algeria and Wales.

“We were also privileged to host 11 international referees from Romania, Malta, Slovakia, and Hungary, working alongside our officials from England.

“Special thanks to our incredible Staff, Judges, Referees (with appreciation to Chief Referee Sensei Kourosh Lotfi), Medical Team, and Security Officers for your professionalism and dedication throughout the day.
