More ambiguous c...p from demo dan
Totally agree with Tim Smith "Demo Dan" Spot on as just look around & take a long hard look at Demo Dan's work!! All he does is order things to be demolished gets he's hard hat on for a photo call. All around Harlow these demolition projects are not taking any shape of anything just a total bomb site. More places are shutting more people are moving less jobs to be had The Harlow magazine only shows pictures of what Harlow is going to look like!! but in what century is this really going to happen & take shape because I don't think this will ever materialise in bricks & water maybe with he's Lego bricks but not even that as he does like a bit of demolition. Harlow's becoming a town that will soon no longer be rebuilt if you don't get the right people living here. You can tart it up all you like if ever but you have got to have people who respect it living here like it used to be. I'm afraid you have let too many rif rafs take over the heart of Harlow.
He promised M&S would be coming back to Harlow at the last election. Did he just do a Boris and say what we wanted to hear?
Martin, everyone in politics always say what we want to hear.
So Martin, if M&S come would you thank Dan?
I find it quite interesting that so many high value contracts have been given to the Hills group, could there be any interesting family conections just waiting to be discovered between certain members of the council and the owners of Hills group.
How heartwarming to hear from our esteemed council leader, Dan Swords, I got quite choked up at times…primarily on the piety and maudlin on offer. He kindly explained to us what billions are, he also said he “couldn’t quantify” the billions coming in to the Town but then mentioned “ten”…whose billions? From where and from whom? Very vague and what sounds like pie-in-the-sky promises. From Dan? Surely not! Dan also said it made no sense to change a senior team when they’re delivering something big….duh! It’s democracy Dan, our precious system of public expression and will that many have died to defend. But as we saw last month when he sought to rip away people’s right to vote, it’s not one he values very much. So well done to the host for asking Dan what “the people” could contribute? Casting aside Dan’s muttered reply, I sense he feels “well, nothing” other than letting him stay in his “best job in the world”. Overall, he may I fear have fallen victim to his own propaganda, that ONLY his administration can deliver change, can rebuild Harlow. Is he, is his team, uniquely qualified to do so, or is it that old Tory sense of entitlement to power we’re seeing? We saw where that got us after 14 years and he and his colleagues cannot distance themselves from the mess they left our country in, nationally to locally, top to bottom. As much as he may hate the idea, let’s see what the people think on May 7.
