Friday is the list of candidates with it interesting who replaces Maggie Hulcoop in Little Parndon and Town Centre. Probably someone who has a "boring office job" and rides a bike.
Meanwhile, on the election front here on the border with Epping Forest District in Sumners, I have still only seen Conservative leaflets and a letter that totals four communications. That's zero from opposition parties. Dan Swords' team clearly has energy in abundance. My prediction is that the Conservatives will gain at least one seat and Reform will only take seats from Labour.
When it comes to the local council elections, councillors should be voted for on their merits, not about what party they represent, it all comes down to “What have they done for Harlow? What have they achieved for Harlow? How can they guarantee Harlow Continues to move forward into the future? How will there actions benefit the Harlow residents into the future? How will costs remain low for all Harlow residents, and we all get value for our money? and can we see our town becoming a place that we all want to live in and feel proud of?” Because I most certainly do. And I will always vote based on who delivers, and not vote for those that don’t Then look at Harlow over the last twentyfive years, and you can see real change for the better, has only really occurred in the last four. So let’s continue to see that change for the better, let’s not throw it all away, and go backwards again. For that I believe Harlow conservatives should remain at least for now.
I agree with Realist. The question is: who is best for Harlow now? The answer is patently obvious: Dan Swords and the local Conservatives.
Voting for anyone other than Dan Swords Conservatives will result in a single loser: Harlow.
