Roads around Elizabeth Way and Edinburgh Way are currently closed while fire crews take action.
Residents from one block of flats in the Fifth Avenue development are being evacuated. Please avoid the area.
I expect Dan Swords is down there with he's hard hat on again. Doing nothing at all apart from getting he's name out there & probably a photo in the news.
Sorry have to say I do hope it is fixed soon for all the people who have been evacuated, + all the gas workers trying to fix it.
How? The area should if been surveyed and shown where the pipes are.....then they have coloured plastic tape stuff above the pipes to show you there are pipes underneath!!!!! So how or earth can that happen? Gonna be a fun rush hour.
Does anyone know which flats have been evacuated.
Sustainable transport corridor begins. I assume the contractors have hit a pipe. It’s what you get when you go for the lowest tender
Shame it wasn’t the town centre itself, could have evacuated everyone out, lit a match and started again.
The contractor with the replacement pipe is stuck in traffic in Roydon!! My husband's just had a chat with him while stuck in traffic going the other way. May be some time before he gets there.
Typical, HARLOW GRIDLOCKED. and this has nothing to do with the M25 or M11
Hggt... Worse than the blitz.. not only have they fux our town..now they are trying to gas us...grrrrtt
Get used to it. Sure this traffic will be the norm when the Gilston development goes up.
