THE owners of Terminus House have issued a statement following the sale of the town centre development to Harlow Council.

A Caridon Group spokesperson said: “Caridon Group welcomes Harlow Council’s plans to purchase and redevelop Terminus House as part of its significant regeneration of the town centre. We will work closely with the relevant housing partners over the coming months to ensure a smooth and respectful transition for all current residents into alternative accommodation.

“We are also mindful of the dedicated staff who have supported residents at Terminus House and will explore opportunities to support affected team members in finding new roles where possible.

When Caridon acquired Terminus House, it was to meet a pressing need for temporary accommodation at a time of limited options. The building has since supported hundreds of individuals and families in avoiding homelessness and finding stability during difficult periods. Now, as part of Harlow’s ambitious regeneration plans, Terminus House is set to play a new role in the town’s future.

Looking ahead, Caridon is focusing on growing its portfolio of high-quality, long-term housing that supports sustainable tenancies and strong communities. Our mission remains rooted in the belief that everyone deserves a safe and secure place to call home.
