The town park concerts were a great time of togetherness in the town in the 70's and it was a free family day out. Kids could run about freely and if mum and dad had some pennies, you might get a go on the hired skates or a free visit to pet's corner. Mum would bring pack lunches and if you were lucky and ice cream slice between two wafers from the small cafe. They are fun time's that are often missed. So any community spirit would be greatly enhanched by music at the town park once again
