HARLOW Council is working in partnership with the Manufacturing Advisory Service (www.mymas.org) to offer businesses in the manufacturing and engineering industries an opportunity to learn about the help and support available to help them grow and secure their business.

The Manufacturing and Engineering Forum will be held on Wednesday 26 February 2014 and will feature talks from John Christopher, Innovation Adviser at Enterprise Europe Network, and Ajaib Hussain, UK Engineering Manager at Rakon UK Ltd.

John Christopher is a mine of information and can help business locate grants, funding and free (or funded) support for growth.

Councillor Tony Durcan, Portfolio Holder for Resources and Enterprise, said: “Forums like this are so important for businesses as they provide an opportunity to gain valuable insight into strategies for growth and development, as well as a chance for business people to come together and build their network of contacts.

“Harlow Council cares about business. It is committed to continuing to serve the business community by offering help and support through events such as this.”

The Manufacturing and Engineering Forum will be held at Science Alive, Harlow Leisurezone, Harlow, Essex CM20 3DT from 5.30pm until 7pm. Tickets for the event are free and can be booked at http://manufacturingandengineeringforum.eventbrite.co.uk
