THREE stylists from a Harlow salon are embarking on a truly hair-raising challenge having signed up to skydive in aid of St Clare Hospice. Caz Santaniello, owner of DG & Co, senior stylist Tina Chandler and stylist Connie Harris are hoping to raise £1,200 for the Hastingwood-based charity when they take the plunge from 13,000ft next month.

To boost their fundraising, the trio have organised a fun day at the salon on Sunday, June 22 from 10am to 4pm.

They will be offering cutting and styling appointments along with makeup, a raffle and face painting. There will also be music and a cake stall.

Tina said a sky dive had always been on her bucket list and when she mentioned it to her workmates, Caz and Connie were both also up for the challenge.

“A parachute jump has always been first on the list so I’m really excited to actually be doing it,” she said. “I know that some of our clients have been supported by St Clare and I think as a local charity it touches a lot of people’s lives.

“It’s a fantastic cause and we’re hoping to raise as much money as we can. Quite a lot of people have already sponsored us and people have been really generous.”

Connie added: “I’m really excited about the jump although I know I’ll be nervous on the day. I just hope my instructor is deaf because I’m going to be screaming in his ear all the way down!”

Appointments during the fun day on Sunday, June 22 are limited, so to book call the salon on 01279 434724.
