A FORMER boss of Princess Alexandra Hospital (PAH) who was facing fraud charges has died suddenly.

Phil Morley, was due to make an initial appearance before Hull Magistrates Court next month to face four charges of fraud.

Details of Mr Morley’s death have yet to be made public.

Mr Morley was in charge of the trust, for four years until his resignation in 2017, when the PAH went into special measures.

After retiring from PAH, ending a 35-year career in the NHS, he went on to set up a firm called Head Hearts and Hands, offering management consultancy services.
