YOU are probably more than aware of the new General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) that came into force on 25 May 2018, however, are you aware of what your responsibilities under this really mean?

Are your current data policies and working policies compliant with GDPR and if not, what changes are you introducing to your current working practices to ensure you comply with these new regulations?

This new EU legislation came into effect before “Brexit” and will remain in force after we have left the European Union. Fines for non-compliance with GDPR are already being issued to Companies both big and small and are higher and more wide ranging than the Data Protection Act, so it is important that businesses understand what is required of them.

The world of information law compliance can be complex and demanding, with simple advice and quality support hard to come by. Essex Chambers of Commerce have therefore joined forces with Scott Sammons FIIM, AMIRMS, Cert.NLP, who has a great deal of experience and expertise in this area, to bring businesses up to date with what these changes in legislation mean and will cover:

A Summary of the GDPR and Data Protection Act
Practical Guidance on how to implement and manage it
