OVER 80 representatives from local businesses and groups attended the inaugural Harlow Ambassador Group meeting at Harlow Rugby Club.
John Keddie, Chair of the Harlow Place Board, introduced the audience to three keynote speakers:
Alan Price, President of Harlow Rugby Club, who gave an introduction to the award winning club and what it means for Harlow
Kimberlee Perry, CEO of ((Bounce)), who explained why she chose Harlow as her home and as a base for her thriving business
Alastair MacDonald of Allies and Morrison who gave an overview of work on the Harlow Town Centre Action Plan.
Describing the Ambassador Programme, John Keddie explained:
‘This is a scheme that brings together businesses, organisations and individuals across Harlow and the surrounding area in a powerful network to help change perceptions. Harlow Ambassadors will be proactive advocates for the town and area locally, nationally and internationally and be part of a movement driving forward the prosperity of the town.’
Ambassadors will meet bi-monthly to hear about what’s happening in the Harlow area from the people making it happen. The next breakfast meeting is scheduled for Thursday 29 November at Harlow Museum.
If you would like to discuss how you or your organisation can get involved in the ambassador network, please email [email protected]
They should have had a whip round to help pay off the clubs council tax debt.
