HARLOW Rugby Club is looking for help as part of their support of the Poppy Appeal in 2021.

On Saturday October 30th, 2021 they have a series of events at their home on Latton Park.

They plan to auction a special commemorative shirt an hour after the end of the game

A Harlow Rugby Club spokesperson said: “The day will start with a lunch for members of the Royal British Legion, past and current members of the armed forces, rugby club members and their guests.  The lunch is sold out.

There will be a pre game service of remembrance conducted by the Royal British Legion chaplain, beginning at approximately 14:45. 

“The commemorative shirt features imagery of the airborne forces and infantry troops. 

In addition, the shirt is printed with the names of the Harlow War Dead from the two world wars and to date.  

“We are continuing to seek corporate sponsorship for various elements of the event and have also created a JustGiving page for individuals or groups that would like to donate (www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/hrufcpoppyappeal)  

“We invite all members of the public to come along to support the team and enjoy the facilities at Latton Park“
