Athletics: Harlow runners scale the heights

HARLOW Running and Tri Club member Laura Prime, just two weeks after finishing a marathon, completed 6 5.3k laps of the Mid May Mayhem through Brandon Country Park, in Suffolk, for a total distance of 19.75 miles in 3hrs 26min 01sec.
Meanwhile, at the Howgill 13, a Trail Half Marathon in the Lake District, Iain Bulloch finished in 43rd place out of 127 finishers in 2.55.41 in his debut at the distance.
At the Dereham 10 Mile Race, near Norwich, Liz Roberts finished in 301st place out of 398 finishers in a PB time of 1.34.32, Martin Westley was 306th in 1.34.50 and Andy Kinney 387th in 2.00.54.
At the Colchester Zoo Stampede 10k Robert Foxley finished in 156th place out of 1689 finishers in a PB time of 42.47, Mark Bentley was 529th in 56.16 and Sandra Westgate 530th in 56.17.
On Saturday at the European Triathlon Sprint Distance Qualifier at Eton Dorney Lake (750m swim, 21.2k bike, 5k run) Alan Knightley was 94th out of 432 finishers in an excellent 1.09.57.
On Sunday at the same venue and distance Jon Waite finished in 41st place out of 196 finishers in 1.19.10.
Karen Greenall completed The Lap Ultra at Lake Windermere, a 47 miles trail marathon spread over two days, in 19hrs 29min 26sec.
PB parkruns were achieved by Thomas Beales at the Gunpowder parkrun, Waltham Abbey, finishing in 12th place out of 157 finishers in 20.35:
