FARM Fest returns to Herts & Essex Community Farm on Saturday 15th July 12 – 6pm for it’s 10 year anniversary with FREE entry and no pre-booking required. The music, arts and crafts festival is aimed at bringing the local community together at the tranquil Fold Croft community project.
The best of local musicians and groups including Harlow Rock School, Sam and Ronan from Don’t Worry, Jack Howell, the Undercovers, Dan Titus, Cara and Jody Dunne, the Abela brothers and ASL will be performing, whilst over in the peaceful willow classroom guests can enjoy workshops by groups like the Essex Wildlife Trust, Mind in West Essex’s MHST and The Parenthood.
There is no parking available at the site, with visitors encouraged to arrive on foot or via public transport. A limited amount of parking will be available for visitors at the nearby Thomas More RC Church on Hodings Road, about a 5 minute walk away. Disabled parking is available on site.
The BBQ will be serving up burgers, sausages and veggie options with cans of soft drink available too. The vegan kitchen will be serving up nourishing bowls of farm fresh curry and chilli. Please bring cash as there is no cash point nearby.
There will also be reiki, tarot and alternative therapies available in the quiet orchard area hosted by Butterfly Effect Wellbeing, and the fantastic Fun-Filled Games will be back with their home-crafted games. There will be a range of stalls including cake stalls, a teddy tombola and a coconut shy for everyone to enjoy with great prizes for all.
All proceeds will go towards furthering the work the Community Farm does, including working with schools, community groups and providing fresh produce to the local homeless charity, Streets 2 Homes.
