HARLOW Health Centres Trust is the largest Harlow-based grant provider, with £150k in funding available to support health and wellbeing related projects across Harlow and the surrounding area in 2025.
From improving the wellbeing of people experiencing homelessness and mental health issues, to purchasing life-saving medical equipment and transforming community facilities, funding has been awarded to a wide range of organisations to bring communities together.
Charities and community groups can apply for funding and will need to show that their project or initiative has notable health and wellbeing benefits for the wider community in Harlow and the surrounding area.
Applications are now being considered by the HHCT Grants Committee three times a year, with the application period open until 30th June for consideration in July as part of HHCT’s Summer awards.
Here is what some of our grant recipients have said about the funding they have received from Harlow Health Centres Trust.
“Thank you to HHCT most gratefully for the kind and generous grant, which was awarded to BASICS Essex, as a contribution towards a LUCAS Chest Compression Unit for our second Critical Care Car. Enhanced care need that is beyond standard ambulance service paramedic practice, accounts for approximately 5% of the daily call volume of the ambulance service. This level of care can only be provided safely and effectively by doctors and paramedics like BASICS Essex volunteers, that have undergone additional advanced education. BASICS Essex do not receive any statutory funding therefore, we rely solely upon public donations to enable us to continue our voluntary life saving work. The invaluable support from HHCT will help to save further lives within local communities.”
Lisa Thomas, BASICS Essex
“HHCT have helped to fund our face to face study days, virtual masterclasses, conference and placements for medical students, ensuring our ability to improve end of life care for all, not just those we directly care for.
With the funding we have also had opportunities expand our project by training care home staff to develop their own dedicated Namaste Care programmes.”
Julie Foster, St Clare Hospice
“We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Harlow Health Centre’s Trust for their generous support, which has been instrumental in enabling us to provide vital services to the community. The impact of this funding is profound.”
Tara Whittle, Roots to Wellbeing
