BACK in 2011, our sister website, YourThurrock went down to Waterstones in Lakeside to interview legendary jazz musician, Kenny Ball.
He was there to launch his autobiography.
After answering a question on New Orleans, where he was described as one of the best trumpeters in the world, we couldn’t resist but asking him about playing Harlow Town Park.
His eyes lit up and he clearly had very fond memories of playing in front of 6,000 people.
Kenny passed away in 2013. Thank you for the memories Kenny.
I remember that , was enjoyable day.
