Harlow MP Chris Vince visits Tess’s Memory Cafe (and challenged on dementia services)

Health / Fri 26th Sep 2025 at 06:22am

HARLOW MP Chris Vince has praised the work of all those who work with people living with dementia and their families.

Mr Vince visited Tess’ Memory Cafe in The Stow.

Harlow community champion, Tess Darvill and her team, have done wonderful work over the years but they fear that when it comes to dementia services, Harlow is a poor cousin compared to other areas.

After his visit, we asked the MP what he could do for dementia services in Harlow.

As Chris says should we be relying on individuals and charities to help people with dementia? No, it's not what Aneurin Bevan and Clement Attlee envisaged when the NHS was created. We have a Labour government now so no excuses for not improving the situation.
