WILLOW, Janelle, Ella G and Erin V were crowned intergalactic queens at the IGA Regional Supernova Showdown in Southampton. Harlow Gymnastic club secured over 50 medals and 4 trophies, as well as the handstand champion award for the club’s co-owner Peter James.

Willow R had a clean sweep in the highest level of the day, the level 5 Cosmic Royals event, scooping a quad of gold medals for individual apparatus as well as the overall medal, trophy, and crown.

Erin V also had a clean sweep in one of the largest events of the competition, dominating the level 8 Orbit Explorers, attaining all 5 gold medals, trophy and crown.

In the level 7 Lunar Launches, Janelle C won the overall trophy and crown after taking the gold on beam and a duo of silvers for vault and floor. Eva R captured silver on floor and a duo of bronze for bars and beam, with teammate Olivia B placing 6th overall in the same event.

The final overall crown and trophy went to Ella G in the level 7 Nova Knights event, along with a duo of golds for bars and floor, silver on beam and bronze for vault. Darcy S and Sophia H collected gold and bronze on floor respectively, and Penelope W took bronze on bars.

Lucy B accomplished gold on bars and bronze on vault in the level 7 Galactic Monarchs event.

In the level 7 Galactic Dominators, Lexi W earned the overall silver medal after a duo of golds for floor and beam, and silver on vault, with Polina V receiving gold for bars, a duo of silver for floor and beam, and bronze on vault, finishing with the overall bronze medal.

Also competing with Erin V in the level 8 Orbit Explorers, Skylah H attained overall silver after winning silver on bars and a duo of bronze for floor and beam. Minnie H seized silver on floor, Paige S obtained silver on beam, Hattie D took silver on vault, with Ayla-May J receiving bronze on bars. Teammates Valerie D-A, Delilah M, Lottie D and Harper M placed 7th, 10th, 12th & 14th respectively in the same event.

Jessica D-M was awarded bronze overall in the level 8 Stellar Queens along with gold on floor, silver on bars and bronze on vault. Kaylee S procured silver on floor, with Mia S placing 7th overall.

In the level 9 Moonbeam Movers, Dominika A and Indie B shared the overall silver after Indie landed a duo of gold for floor and vault, and bronze on beam, with Dominika racking up a trio of silver for floor, bars and vault. Loreta F bagged gold on bars, bronze on vault and the overall bronze medal, withAlexandra B placing 6th overall.  

Finishing off the day, Erin C and Nancie K placed 7th and 8th respectively in the level 9 Nova Rockets event.

Overall, it was a fantastic day for the club, with two gymnasts going on to receive further IGA awards: Janelle sparkled with the supernova supreme award and Minnie dazzled with the artistry award.
