Large number of emergency vehicles attend incident in Dads Wood

A LARGE number of emergency service personnel attended to an incident at a Harlow housing development near the town.
An East of England Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called just after 12pm (Wed) to a medical emergency in Dads Wood in Harlow.
An ambulance, rapid response vehicle, ambulance officer vehicle, four vehicles from the Hazardous Area Response Team (HART) and the East Anglian Air Ambulance were sent to the scene.
“An adult man was transported by road to the Princess Alexandra Hospital for treatment.”

HART teams work alongside the police and fire & rescue services within what is known as the ‘inner cordon’ (or ‘hot zone’) of a major incident. The job of the HART teams is to triage and treat casualties and to help save lives in very difficult circumstances. Why four? For what? Are we safe?
