A KIND-hearted Harlow boy has raised over £300 for the Royal British Legion through a poppy appeal and a raffle.

Luke Smart, aged 7, set up a stall in the middle of Bush Fair shopping centre over the past two weeks.

Abbotsweld pupil Luke, had been doing this during this half term break and at the weekends.

His mother Jamie runs the Buggy shop just next to the Butchers in the shopping centre.

On Sunday, Luke and his family went down to the Remembrance Service in the town park, where, despite the weather, he paid his respects to those who gave their lives in a number of conflicts around the world.

His family and the rest of the community are very proud of him.
