CROSSKEYS Netball Club can proudly announce that their former player Gracie Smith has secured a place in the England Roses national squad that will be travelling to Scotland in a few weeks to compete in the Netball World Cup.

Gracie started her netball career at Crosskeys aged just 8. She was initially coached by Crosskeys Chairman Marion Hooke then progressed to being coached by Lisa Best who was assisted by Gracie’s mum. Gracie spent one season at Crosskeys seniors where she was coached by Karen Heskett before moving on.

At just 15 she was offered a contract by Sam Bird to join the young, up and coming London Pulse who then went on to win last seasons Super League. Gracie was still only 16 and studying for her GCSE ‘s .

The inclusion in the Roses senior squad is just the beginning for this very talented athlete.
