LONGWOOD Primary Academy held a Community Carnival to mark the end of the school’s celebrations of Black History Month this year which was recognised and enjoyed by all in the school community.

Staff at the school believe it is incredibly important that key events are highlighted to the children and communities at the school to educate all on how significant such events are.

The carnival spirit was amazing! The children were excited to share what they had been doing throughout the month and it was a joy to see our school community coming together once again.

Leon Carrington, school pastoral lead, was thrilled with the amount of families that were able to attend the occasion ‘A huge part of what we do at Longwood is bring a sense of enjoyment and collaboration to our school community. I am proud to be part of such a dedicated, committed staff team who do everything they can to bring our school community together’.
