Two PAH doctors run over 90 miles in one day for charity

Charity / Mon 2nd Jul 2018 at 09:39am

ON SATURDAY, two doctors from Princess Alexandra Hospital (between them) ran and walked over 92 miles as part of a campaign to raise money and awareness in relation to liver disease.

Dr Deb Ghosh and Dr Asmah Syed set off from PAH at 7am on Saturday morning. By the time, YH caught up with them (just after 10am), Dr Ghosh was carrying a significant knee injury.

But somehow, he carried on. Despite the temperature in the eighties, they wound their way between the PAH, The Rivers and Herts and Essex hospitals.

Eventually, the good doctor listened to his body and stopped after an incredible 40 miles.

The indefatigable Dr Syed carried on and just after midnight, completed the 52 mile challenge.

We have stitched together a number of their films from throughout the day to give you a little glimpse into the magnificent efforts the two wonderful doctors made.
