News / Fri 10th Nov 2023 at 08:54am

THIS week, MP for Harlow, Robert Halfon, was in Parliament and went to the Constituency Garden of Remembrance in New Palace Yard to pay his respects to the fallen on behalf of his constituency of Harlow. Mr Halfon placed a Star of David cross in Harlow’s patch to pay his respects and to honour all those who so valiantly gave their lives to defend this country and its freedoms during World War I.

Speaking to Your Harlow, Mr Halfon said: “This weekend is a poignant opportunity to remember and pay tribute to those who made the ultimate sacrifice to protect us.

“Harlow soldiers should never be forgotten, and it was an honour to be able to pay my respects on behalf of our community, and remember those who gave their lives in defence of our country. Honouring their incredible courage and heroism is something that brings us together as we remember our history and our heritage.

“It was a privilege to be able to represent Harlow in Parliament and pay tribute to our fallen service-men and women who gave so much for us. “Lest we never forget.”
