THE children of Holy Cross Catholic Primary Academy have been marking  Remembrance Day this week by writing prayers and reflecting on the sacrifices made by servicemen and women in wars and conflicts.

The Year 6 pupils walked to the War Memorial at the top of Potter Street where their Head Boys and Head Girls laid a wreath on behalf of the pupils, staff and governors.

Back at the Tracyes Road school, , some pupils who attend Rainbows, Brownies, Cubs, Beavers and Scouts wore their uniforms to school as a mark of respect.
