Remembering the fallen of Harlow who gave their lives
History / Wed 30th Oct 2024 at 01:04pm
BACK in 2018, we paid tribute to the 126 men from Harlow and the villages, who left to fight in World War 1 and never came back.

This took the form of 126 residents reading the biographies of the men. We have a dedicated channel on our youtube channel where the films are stored.
An example is below. The Fallen of Harlow in WW1: John Reed, who died in Gallipoli.
We have also written pieces on those who passed in WW2 and other conflicts.
In the lead up to Remembrance Sunday, we will be re-publishing a number of the films and news items that paid their respects.

All the films can be seen below.
This is a great idea. Why not get the schools to hear these stories as well . Never know it might help create a better sense of community.
