New Starbucks Drive-Thru in Harlow opens with charity support for St Clare Hospice

Business / Fri 14th Nov 2025 at 11:12am

ST Clare Hospice took part in the grand opening of a new Starbucks branch in Harlow on the 17th of October. The new café, complete with a drive-thru, is located on the A414 into the town.

Fundraising team members from St Clare Hospice, along with the charity’s mascot, Clare Bear, were invited to cut the ribbon and officially open the store. As part of the celebration, Starbucks supported the hospice on the day by displaying collection tins and informational leaflets in-store, helping raise awareness and vital funds for local hospice care.

Nancy Hynes, Community Relationship Fundraiser at St Clare Hospice, said, ‘We are so grateful to Starbucks for choosing to support St Clare Hospice as part of their Harlow opening. Having Clare Bear cut the ribbon alongside our team made the day extra special.

Starbucks’ generosity in displaying our collection tin and leaflets helps raise vital awareness and funds for the care we provide. This collaboration is a fantastic example of how businesses can make a meaningful impact by supporting their local charities.’

Donations made at the new Starbucks will go directly towards helping St Clare Hospice provide specialist care and support to people living with life-limiting illnesses and their families across West Essex and East Hertfordshire.

They got rid off the abandoned building to put this trash up! Pathetic from Harlow as usual. Glad I left this town when I did.
