PUPILS from Freshwaters Primary Academy took part in the London Mini Marathon at the weekend.

The event, which has become firmly established as a key curtain raiser to the main event took place along the Mall near Buckingham Palace.

It was the second year in a row that the team led by London Marathon veteran Mr Newborough and his team had taken part.

The Year 5 teacher said: “We took part in the Mini Marathon for the second year running yesterday, and as always we had a fantastic day out.
